Zijderlaan is "Constantly Green in Motion." As one of our core values, sustainability plays an important role in our overall business operations. We continuously analyze our logistics transport flows, gas, energy and diesel oil consumption (our footprint) so that we can optimize and reduce CO2 emissions wherever possible. Not only for ourselves, but also for our customers and the environment.
More and more is being asked and expected of every entrepreneur today in the areas of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and circular economy. The Netherlands faces the major task of drastically reducing CO2 emissions (by 49% by 2030 compared to 1990). In order to achieve these ambitious goals, everyone in the logistics chain will have to do their 'reduction bit'. We are actively working to improve our footprint as much as possible and to help our customers achieve their environmental goals. In doing so, we closely follow sustainability developments and technologies and respond quickly to new opportunities.
Through the carbon reduction goals we pursue at Zijderlaan, we not only achieve our own goals,

Lean & Green
In 2019, we achieved the 1st Lean & Green STAR Award for 24% CO2 reduction in 5 years. In 2023, we received the 2nd STAR for our continuing sustainability performance.
Energy-neutral workshop

Solar Panels
Our sheds in Stolwijk bear some 900 solar panels that generate our electricity without emitting CO2.
Sustainable fleet
We are constantly renewing our fleet, with the goal of having only trucks with Euro 6 or even more fuel-efficient engines on the road by 2024. Including the new generation DAF XG!
Alternative fuels
The alternative fuels such as HVO and Bio GTL lead directly to CO2 reduction. Interested? We would be happy to engage with you.
