Stolwijk, 1 April 2025 - In recent years, Zijderlaan has taken important steps towards further professionalisation and scalability of the organisation. With investments in a modern workshop, expanded office facilities and the almost operational start of the new distribution centre, the organisation is ready for the next phase of growth. In this context, Zijderlaan is proud to announce that Sjoerd Bosma has been appointed Operations Director from 1 April 2025.
Bosma is no stranger to the family business. For the past three years, he has worked intensively with various departments within Zijderlaan as Supply Chain Management Consultant from Involvation. His analytical ability, process-oriented approach and eye for cooperation have led to concrete improvements in the internal organisation, firmly laying the foundation for further growth.
‘With developments in our distribution network and growing logistics issues in the market, it is essential that we future-proof our organisation,’ Zijderlaan's management said. ‘Sjoerd has played a key role in this as a consultant and we are therefore delighted that he will now put his knowledge and experience to full use within our organisation.’
As Operations Director, Bosma's focus will include further developing and optimising processes, strengthening cooperation between departments and improving customer service. In the coming period, he will also gradually take on more responsibilities in the areas of safety, quality and operational management of logistics activities.
With his extensive experience, including as Site Supply Chain Manager at Akzo Nobel and Nouryon, Bosma brings valuable expertise that perfectly matches Zijderlaan's ambitions. ‘Sjoerd's arrival strengthens our management team and enables us to shape our growth plans in a structured and future-proof manner.
